Ron Paul 2008 Utah Ads

Organized by David Edward Garber

Too Little, Too Late!
I finally received $90 more today but not in time to place any ads in Monday's issues. So, I'm refunding these final donations. I'm grateful to those who donated, though. Thanks! :D
College Newspapers?
Park City's Park Record submission deadline for Saturday's issue just passed. Another opportunity lost. I'm lowering our fundraising goal once again.

We can still place our "We the People" ad in three college newspapers, though, if we can raise a few hundred more very soon. So, would anyone like to donate? Anyone? Anyone?
Opportunities Lost
Sadly, I've received hardly any donations during this last week.

Deadlines have now passed (most were last Friday at noon) for Blanding's Blue Mountain Panorama, Brigham City's Box Elder News Journal, Payson's Payson Chronicle, Salt Lake City's Salt Lake Weekly, Spanish Fork's Spanish Fork News, and Vernal's Vernal Express.

Thanks to two small donations today, I was barely able to squeeze our "We the People" ad into Gunnison's Gunnison Valley Gazette for a cost of $32.

This leaves these four newspapers:

BYU's Daily Universe: $150.
Park City's Park Record: $128.
UU's Daily Chronicle: $92.
UVSC's College Times: $76.

I'm lowering our fundraising goal accordingly. With this slow donation rate, it seems unlikely that we will be able to advertise either in larger newspapers or on radio.
More Newspapers?
Additional donations will go to place our "We the People" ad in individual newspapers not covered by this UPA deal. Here are prices for placing this ad in some of these other newspapers...

Blanding's Blue Mountain Panorama: $32.
Brigham City's Box Elder News Journal: $??.
BYU's Daily Universe: $150.
Gunnison's Gunnison Valley Gazette: $??.
Park City's Park Record: $128.
Payson's Payson Chronicle: $25.
Salt Lake City's Salt Lake City Weekly: ??.
Spanish Fork's Spanish Fork News: ??.
UU's Daily Chronicle: $92.
UVSC's College Times: $76.
Vernal's Vernal Express: $64.

With even more money, we might try to place ads in some of Utah's largest newspapers, such as Salt Lake City's Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune, Ogden's Standard Examiner, and Logan's Herald Journal.

With vastly more money, we might even purchase some radio advertising.
Thanks Once More!!!
With great effort, we barely managed to collect enough funds by noon today to meet our third goal.

Our "We the People" ad will run in 40 Utah newspapers both this week and next week. Our military donations ad will run along with it next week. This is all that we will be able to do through the Utah Press Association.

Thanks so much to all those generous donors who made this possible!
So, What's Next?
So far, we've collected enough donations to run our "We the People" ad for two weeks!

We'd like to run a second ad alongside it during the week of January 29th, which is possible if we collect another $578 by Tuesday, January 22nd, at noon.

This Utah Press Association deal covers most, although not all, of Utah's newspapers. With enough additional funds, we'd love to place ads in some newspapers that this deal does not cover, such as Park City's Park Record, Vernal's Vernal Express, and UVSC's College Times.
Thanks Again!!!
We've just barely collected enough money to run our excellent "We the People" ad for a second (and final) week. Hurrah!!! I thank all those who helped to make this possible.
One More Week?
I'd love to run this ad for a second week in these forty Utah newspapers, which will be the final week before Utah's primary elections on February 5th.

I'd also love to place a second 2col-by-4" ad (or perhaps two 2col-by2" ads) during this same week, which is only possible if we receive enough donations quickly enough.

With additional money, I can even place an ad like the one linked above in a few other Utah newspapers that are not covered by this Utah Press Association deal, such as BYU's Daily Universe.

Thanks so much to all those who may choose to help with this effort!
Thank You!!!
Thanks to both Mike Parker of St. George, Utah, and Brian Horsfield of Fairfield, Iowa, we managed to finalize this ad barely in time for submission at noon today.

Thanks to some wonderful last-minute donors, especially Brian Horsfield, we managed to collect just enough money to pay for it--again, barely in time.

And, thanks only to a fortunate last-minute cancellation, the Utah Press Association will actually be able to run this ad next week.

My deepest thanks to everyone who helped bring about this minor miracle!
Ron Paul 2008 Utah Ads
I'm trying to raise $578 in order to place one small 2col-by-4" Ron Paul 2008 ad in forty different Utah newspapers.

Payment must be made by Tuesday, January 15th, at noon!

You can contribute your thoughts about this here or you may contact me via telephone at 801-851-0771.

Thanks!
